Oregon Hillel offers two opportunities for students to experience 10 days in Israel (FREE) as part of the Taglit: Birthright Israel program. Taglit-Birthright Israel is an innovative partnership between the people of Israel through the Government of Israel, private philanthropists through the Birthright Israel Foundation and Jewish communities around the world (North American Jewish Federations, Keren Hayesod, and The Jewish Agency for Israel).” This trip is a gift from Taglit-Birthright Israel. Our program is open to 18 - 26 year old Jewish students currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students at the University of Oregon, Lane Community College, and Oregon State University who have not been on an organized trip or who went on organized trips prior to turning 18. Taglit-Birthright Israel requires a refundable deposit, participants are responsible for domestic travel to our US departure city, a few meals in Israel on their own, and a tip for the drive/tour guide, all other expenses are provided (airfare, hotel stays, transportation, meals, etc.).
